British Belgravia is set to create a joint venture with Belgian Immo Industry Group and Russian Rostik Group, operator of a domestic chain of restaurants. The company plans to invest around $2 billion in the construction of business complexes in Russia, as reported by The Financial Times

As part of the project, the partners intend to build two million sqm of real estate at 15 sites. The future business centers will have space set aside for the Rostik Group’s restaurants, such as Planeta Sushi, TGI Friday’s and others.

Belgravia is registered on the British island of Jersey, founded by businessman Duncan Hickman and Liberty Ermitage hedge fund. The fund is well-known for making a bid in 2006 to purchase the Newcastle United football club in England.

Foreign investors in 2006 invested more than $3 billion in Russian real estate projects, and they invested $2 billion in the first half of 2007, vis-a-vis an investment of $400 million in 2004.
