M.Video will open about 80 stores by the end of 2009
The M.Video Company, managing a retail chain of home appliances and electronics, is going to invest almost $160mln to open 80 more new stores in 2008-2009.
The Company wants to open 40 stores each year investing more than $2mln into each one on average.
During 2007 M.Video opened 37 stores in 22 cities and the capital investments reached 1.49 billion rubles. At the end of 2007 the Company had 122 stores with 323k sq. m in total. In 2006 M.Video opened 28 stores and invested 925 million rubles.
As per the information dated the end of July 2008, M.Video has 131 stores in 53 towns of Russia and two online stores.
