Most of the supply is found in the southern administrative district of Moscow – 24%, the next major supply is in the central administrative district – 16%, the western administrative district accounted for 13%, the south-western and north-western – for 11% each, north – 9%, east – 8%, northeast – 7%, and southeast – 1% (Blackwood).

About 36% of the current supply in the primary market is found in finished buildings, 30% of it is at the foundation laying stage, 22% are at the stage of the monolithic frame erection, 12% are at the finishing stages (Knight Frank).

The present prices of residential real estate in the primary market correspond to the level of the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2008. In the second quarter of 2010, the average cost of housing in Moscow amounted to 143,000 rubles per sqm, which is 2.1% less, relative to the prices recorded in the 1st quarter of 2010. In general, the lowest price was recorded in the 4th quarter of 2009 – 138,000 rubles per sqm (GVA Sawyer).

In August 2010, the structure of house purchasing activities, by the number of rooms, was distributed as follows: one-room apartments – 28%, two-room apartments – 44%, three-room apartments – 28%. In the structure of supply of apartments in new buildings in Moscow, monolithic houses make 81%, panel houses – 14%, brick houses – 5% (NDV-Real Estate).
